Job summary

Pottersway Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare meals, keep the kitchen clean and safe, and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. You will work closely with the Chef and team to ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard, with a consistent routine and alternate weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and food delivery when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the kitchen at all times.
• Support storage, stock organisation and deliveries as directed.
• Work with the Chef and wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Job description

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard. You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times. This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
