Job summary

Springcare Ltd in Ilkeston is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Assistant to support meal preparation and service for residents.

Under the guidance of the head cook, you will help ensure food hygiene standards, keep kitchen and equipment clean, and maintain accurate records of stock and temperatures, while accommodating residents' dietary preferences.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of hot and cold meals.
• Assisting the head cook to ensure that food is prepared in accordance with food hygiene regulations.
• Helping to keep the kitchen area and equipment clean and to the standard for food hygiene.
• Under guidance of head cook, maintaining accurate records of food supplies and freezer/fridge temperatures
• Being aware of varied preferences and dietary requirements of individual residents
