As a Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve nutritious, healthy meals that residents will love. You'll demonstrate high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene. Whether maintaining food supplies and fridge/freezer temperatures, showing new starters how to use equipment, or cleaning spills, you'll always prioritize Resident wellbeing.
HC-One is looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience. Ideally, you'll have an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or be willing to study for one. Good record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with Residents or colleagues, kindness and consideration are paramount.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues if necessary.
