Job summary

Colten Care in Ferndown is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Fernhill. You will help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen and support the chef in delivering nutritious, locally sourced meals for residents.

We seek a reliable team player with a can-do attitude and attention to detail to uphold high standards of food safety and service, including alternate weekends and paid breaks. This is a great opportunity for progression within our award-winning care home group.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or kitchen environment (preferred).
• Passion for delivering a quality resident dining experience.
• Flexible to work 28 hours per week including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Keep dishes, cutlery and kitchen equipment spotless.
• Support the chef to offer a nutritious daily menu using fresh local produce.
• Ensure high standards of food health and hygiene at all times.

Introduction

We’re looking for a reliable and committed Kitchen Assistant to join our team and become a valued part of day-to-day life in our home, Fernhill in Ferndown, Dorset.

You’ll take pride in your role, settling for nothing less than spotless dishes, cutlery and kitchen equipment, helping maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

You’ll support the chef to offer a consistent, nutritious daily menu using fresh local produce and ingredients, helping make a meaningful difference to the health and well-being of our residents each and every day.
