About the Role

Your role as Kitchen Assistant involves supporting food preparation and maintaining a clean environment to ensure the safe production of beverages and meals, delivering high-quality service to residents.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Understanding safe food handling principles to maintain high hygiene standards in food preparation.
• Contributing fully to team work, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly completing work instructions.
• Advising on the supply and quality of items used for tasks, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacements.
• Respecting the dignity and individuality of residents and their visitors at all times.

About You

To succeed, you should embody our values of caring, supportiveness, honesty, respect, and accountability.

Our ideal candidate must:

• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
• Have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
• Be efficient, capable of sustained physical effort, and able to handle a demanding workload.
• Show initiative and exhibit a positive, flexible attitude towards teamwork.
• Have a caring and understanding attitude towards residents.
