Job summary

Welford Healthcare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Chef in preparing and delivering meals for residents at Somerleigh Court, Dorchester. You will help with ingredient prep, maintain a clean kitchen and ensure safety standards are met.

The role offers full-time or part-time hours, weekend work, and opportunities to develop in catering within a residential care setting.

Kitchen Assistant

Hours: Full Time / Part Time hours (Working alternate weekends)

Location: Somerleigh Court, Somerleigh Road, Dorchester, DT1 1AQ

Our team at are looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to assist with delivering quality meals to our residents in the care home. This is a perfect opportunity to gain some experience within the kitchen or perhaps the development of a new career in catering. You will be helping to ensure that our residents dietary requirements are met.

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant

As a Kitchen Assistant; you will be taking an active role in supporting the Chef with the preparation and delivery of meals for residents. As well as preparing fresh ingredients for various meals, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen area that adheres to both Health and Safety regulations and the exemplary standards of the home.

Desirable Skills and Experience of the Kitchen Assistant
