Job summary

SSP Crewe Station is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team. This part-time role covers 16 hours per week, with shifts across mornings, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

You will support chefs with basic prep, keep the kitchen clean, and help with stores or serving customers. Prior kitchen experience isn’t required as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• You are friendly and able to stay positive during busy shifts.
• Some shifts require being 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic prep and waste management.
• Keep kitchen areas clean and hygienic (dishes, surfaces, floors).
• Help maintain food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Assist with SSP Stores or serving customers as needed.
• No prior kitchen experience required; full training provided.

KITCHEN ASSISTANT - CREWE STATION, UPPERCRUST

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour.

We have Part Time (16hrs) roles available.

Hours of operation are 5:30am to 11:30pm. Working flexibly across weekdays, weekends, bank and public holidays.

ABOUT THE KITCHEN ASSISTANT ROLE

• Support chefs with basic prep and waste management.
• Keep kitchen areas clean, including dishes, surfaces, and floors.
• Contribute to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards.
• This is a multi-functional role so you will also assist with the SSP Stores or serving customers.
• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not necessary. We will provide full training.
