Job summary

Scattergoods Agency Ltd. provides dedicated Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters to schools across Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Berkshire, offering predominantly daytime weekday hours.

The hourly pay ranges from £13.00 to £13.65 (PAYE) with benefits including holiday pay, flexible hours and a pension contribution. Roles include supporting kitchen teams, basic food preparation, dishwashing, waste disposal, and deliveries reception.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and teamwork.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Be happy for us to obtain, a DBS.
• Be happy to obtain both Food Safety Level 2 and Allergens certification.
• Driving would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Wash dishes and kitchen tools.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.

We are seeking dedicated Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters to join our team, working in Schools around Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Berkshire. As part of our agency, you will work in various locations, supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy flexible work and are looking for predominately daytime, weekday hours.
