Job summary

Scattergoods Agency Ltd advertises Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters to work inSchools across Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Berkshire. Roles support kitchen teams with flexible day-time hours and weekday shifts.

Pay is £13.00–£13.65 per hour (PAYE) with holiday pay, pension contributions and flexible hours. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK; DBS and Food Safety Level 2 / Allergens training are to be obtained.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen/catering experience is preferred but not required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• DBS clearance willingness.
• Willing to obtain Food Safety Level 2 and Allergens certification.
• Driving would be advantageous due to multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Wash dishes and kitchen tools.
• Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Follow health and safety guidelines.
• Support kitchen staff as needed during events and busy periods.

We are seeking dedicated Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters to join our team, working in Schools around Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and Berkshire. As part of our agency, you will work in various locations, supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy flexible work and are looking for predominately daytime, weekday hours.

Pay: £13.00 - £13.65 per hour (PAYE), along with benefits including holiday pay, flexible hours and pension contribution.

• Be happy for us to obtain, a DBS.
• Be happy to obtain both Food Safety Level 2 and Allergens certification.
• Due to locations, it would be an advantage to drive.
