Job summary

Scattergoods Agency Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking dedicated Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters to work in schools across Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. These agency roles offer predominantly daytime, weekday hours with PAYE pay of £13.00–£13.65 per hour, plus benefits such as holiday pay, pension contribution and flexible hours.

You will support kitchen teams by carrying out basic food preparation, cleaning and waste disposal, ensuring health and safety

Qualifications

• DBS check is preferred; may be required.
• Food Safety Level 2 certification required or encouraged.
• Allergens certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking dedicated Catering Assistants, Kitchen Assistants and Kitchen Porters to join our team, working in Schools around Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. As part of our agency, you will work in various locations, supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy flexible work and are looking for predominately daytime, weekday hours

Pay: £13.00 - £13.65 per hour (PAYE), along with benefits including holiday pay, flexible hours and pension contribution.

Responsibilities:

• . Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
• . Assist with basic food preparation.
• . Wash dishes and kitchen tools.

Requirements:

• . Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred but not required.
• . Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• . Strong attention to detail.
• . Good communication skills and teamwork.
• . Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• - Be happy for us to obtain, a DBS.
• - Be happy to obtain both Food Safety Level 2 and Allergens certification.
• - Due to locations, it would be an advantage to drive.
