Job summary

Hamberley Care Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of the kitchen at Lovell Place, a luxury care home in Bristol. You will help chefs plan and prepare nutritious meals, ensure cleanliness and safety, and maintain stock controls in a fast-paced care environment.

Ideal candidates have catering experience, a commitment to excellent resident care, and an ability to multitask under pressure while following COSHH and safety guidelines.

• Proven experience working in a similar catering role.

Responsibilities

• Support Chefs in planning and provisioning meals.
• Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals that meet dietary needs.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the Chefs in the planning and provision of high-quality meals that meet the nutritional and dietary requirements of our residents
• Planning, preparing, and serving balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• Ensuring all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and that safe methods of work are always used
• Managing all stocks and stores, ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• Maintaining accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements such as fridge temperature checks
