Bupa's Hatfield Peverel Lodge Care Home in Chelmsford is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the team. You will work 40 hours per week from 8:00am to 6:00pm, four days with alternate weekends, delivering warm, nutritious meals to residents with support from a dedicated kitchen and care team.
The role requires previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, with a passion for food and delivering excellent dining experiences for residents.

Contract: Permanent – Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week. 8.00am - 6.00pm 4x days a week including alternate weekends
Salary: £12.80 - £13.80 per hour dependent on experience
Set in nine acres of grounds, the home offers a warm welcome to anyone. The home has a dedicated dementia-friendly house, known as Mallard, where residents are supported by dementia champions. The home’s interior has been decorated to suit individuals with dementia, being colour-themed and including memory triggers. Hatfield Peverel is a lively and welcoming care home at the heart of the local community. The dedicated care team plan a varied programme of activities and social gatherings, which you’re welcome to take part in. From flower arranging, baking clubs, tea dances to regional events such as summer fetes and remembrance celebration events, there is always something going on. Great attention is placed on the food menu to make sure it is both enjoyable and nutritious, made by an experienced chef using fresh produce, while there are snacks and drinks available throughout the day and night. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at Hatfield Peverel, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.
