Job summary

Bupa in Chelmsford is seeking a Care Assistant for Hatfield Peverel Care Home. The role involves providing person-centred care, supporting independence and choice for residents, and working across days with weekend shifts.

Salary £13.10–£14.10 per hour, depending on experience, with full-time or part-time options and up to 44 hours per week. You'll join a team guided by Bupa values—brave, caring, responsible—focusing on delivering high standards of care while supporting residents to live lives

  • Desirable: previous care home experience or Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Support residents with companionship and personal care.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' behaviour and document as required.
  • Support nutrition and hydration needs according to each care plan.
  • Provide physical and mental stimulation through group and individual activities.
  • Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
  • Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
  • Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
  • Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
  • Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
