Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team to prepare and present meals to a high standard with the objective of achieving high restaurant sales. It's important the right candidate carries out kitchen duties in a clean manner and contributes to a safe environment for customers and staff.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 14.00-22.00

Salary: £24,375 per annum.

Key Duties of a Kitchen Assistant:

• Maximising sales by preparing food to a high standard with great presentation
• Ensuring there is adequate stock of all foods whilst advising management of any shortages
• Being aware of site promotions regarding menu offers
• Ensuring food is prepared and presented at a satisfactory level to every customer
• Full understanding and complete compliance with all Food Safety Regulations and health & safety rules
• Ensuring all kitchen & restaurant activities are carried out in a clean and safe manner, in accordance with company policies & procedures
• Wearing protective clothing & equipment
• Ensuring all food has been correctly proportioned to reduce waste & control expenditure at the site
• Adhering to site standards at all times
• Being able to identify potential equipment breakdowns and notify management accordingly

Qualifications

• Basic Health and Safety qualifications and minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate
• Strong customer service skills and comfort in a customer-facing environment whilst working well under pressure
• Experience working in catering operations would be advantageous
