Job summary

Stow Healthcare Group is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team in Brandon. You’ll help prepare simple meals, keep the kitchen tidy and support the chef to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

Full training is provided, and there is flexibility to suit personal needs, including alternate weekends. A caring, people-focused attitude is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Some previous kitchen experience is helpful, but enthusiastic beginners are considered.
• You will keep the kitchen tidy and support colleagues in completing scheduled tasks.
• You will be happy to prepare simple meals with support from the chef.

Kitchen Assistant

As part of our catering team, you are fundamental to the smooth running of the home every day for our residents. Supported by a chef, you will ensure that high-quality meals are prepared according to taste and need. You will take pride in keeping your kitchen environment spotless, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

The skills you’ll need

To join us as a Kitchen Assistant, you will benefit from having some previous experience working in a kitchen environment, but consideration will also be given to an enthusiastic candidate who wants to start in a catering environment for the first time. You will feel at home in keeping the kitchen tidy, completing scheduled tasks and supporting your catering colleagues. You will be happy to prepare simple meals with support from the chef.

• Full training can be provided if you do not have experience
