Job summary

Thornbury Castle is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our 5* hotel team. You will support the kitchen operation, clean dishes, and help with basic prep under supervision. Evening and weekend shifts are included.

The role offers a zero hours contract with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour and opportunities for training and staff discounts. A calm, team‑minded individual will thrive in our busy, professional environment.

• Support the team and help colleagues where needed.

You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle supporting the operation in the kitchen, creating memorable and impressive experiences for our guests.

Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 26 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces.

Job Description

• Zero hours contract
• £12.71 per hour
• Will include evening and weekend shifts
• Use the industrial dishwashers to clean all crockery and chefs’ utensils
• Clean the Kitchen Areas following full Food Safety and COSHH guidelines
• Basic preparation of vegetables under the supervision of senior chefs
• Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
• Support the team and help colleagues where needed
