Job summary

Rubislaw Park Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, in Aberdeen’s West End, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support meal delivery in a clean, safe kitchen. You will assist with food preparation, keep the kitchen tidy, help with deliveries, storage and stock organisation, working with the Chef to ensure smooth operations.

The role offers a fixed 37.5-hour week over five days, with pay at £12.71 per hour, PVG paid, pension and uniform provided, and 5.6 weeks’ annual leave on a full-time

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.

Job description

We are an award-winning care home and nursing facility, based in Aberdeen’s West End. We deliver exceptional levels of Residential, Nursing, Dementia & Respite care for up to 86-residents.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to 37.5 hours per week over 5 days
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.
You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.
This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
