Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Kitchen Assistants to join school catering teams in Exeter. The role supports food preparation, meal service and maintaining cleanliness in a safe, welcoming school environment.

Working hours are 9:30am–3pm, Monday to Friday during school term, with term-time opportunities. This position offers training and development within a supportive team and makes a real difference to the school community.

• Assist with the preparation of food and ingredients.

• Set up and clear dining areas before and after meal service.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow training.
• Wash kitchen utensils, crockery and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation and storage of food deliveries.
