Job summary

Arco Recruitment Ltd in Exeter is seeking a Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom Consultant with a passion for design and customer service to guide customers from enquiry to final purchase.

You will welcome customers, advise on products, design tailored spaces, prepare quotes, and drive sales while maintaining a well-presented showroom. A UK driving licence and showroom/retail sales experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen design or showroom sales.
• Willingness to learn bathroom products and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to the showroom and advise on products and design.
• Manage enquiries from first contact to order completion.
• Visit customers on-site or at home to discuss requirements.
• Design and coordinate kitchen projects to individual needs and budgets.
• Prepare accurate quotations and follow up to secure sales.
• Upsell and recommend complementary products to maximise sales.
• Build relationships for repeat business and referrals.
• Work with colleagues to deliver projects to a high standard.
• Keep showroom attractive and knowledge up to date.

Are you passionate about creating beautiful kitchens and bathrooms delivering exceptional customer service?

This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused sales professional who enjoys building relationships, designing inspiring kitchen spaces and guiding customers through their project from initial enquiry to final purchase.

Salary

£28,000 - £35,000 DOE + Bonus

The Role

As a Kitchen & Bathroom Showroom Consultant, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, providing expert advice and helping them turn their ideas into reality. You'll manage the entire sales journey, ensuring every customer receives a professional, friendly and seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the showroom and provide expert advice on kitchen & bathroom products and design solutions.
• Manage customer enquiries from initial contact through to order completion.
• Visit customers on-site or in their homes when required to discuss project requirements.
• Design and coordinate kitchen projects tailored to individual needs and budgets.
• Prepare accurate quotations and proactively follow up to secure sales.
• Maximise sales opportunities through upselling and recommending complementary products.
• Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain an organised, attractive showroom and keep product knowledge up to date.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience within the kitchen industry (essential).
• Previous experience within the bathroom industry would be ideal but training will be provided.
• A proven background in showroom or retail sales.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A good understanding of health and safety practices.
