Blackburn Rovers FC is seeking a Kit Operations Assistant to support the day‑to‑day running of the kit room, prepare training and match kits, and ensure all gear for players and staff is ready for training, matches and travel.

You will manage laundry, equipment labeling, safety procedures, and stock levels while maintaining high professional standards and coordinating with the Head of Kit for fixtures and travel logistics.

Responsabilidades

• Safeguard and promote welfare of elite players, maintaining professional boundaries.
• Support day-to-day running of the kit operation.
• Prepare and distribute training and match kit for players and staff.
• Ensure players and staff have correct kit for training, matches, and travel.
• Wash, dry, fold, and prepare kit for timely redistribution.
• Operate washing machines and dryers safely; select cycles and detergents.
• Inspect garments for stains, damage, missing items or extra treatment.
• Monitor laundry supplies; report low stock and replenish as required.
• Manage collection and return of laundry to ensure kit is available as needed.
• Conduct routine checks of laundry equipment; report faults and follow maintenance procedures.
• Follow health & safety, manual handling, hygiene and chemical-handling procedures.
• Assist with organisation and storage of kit and equipment in kit room.
• Ensure kit is labelled, organised and readily available.
• Report damaged, missing or worn kit to Head of Kit and arrange replacements.
• Maintain kit and equipment to professional standards and presentation.
• Maintain high standards in the kit room and surrounding areas.
• Assist with preparation of First Team matchday kit and equipment.
• Ensure used kit and equipment are collected and returned after fixtures.
• Assist with loading of kit and equipment for away fixtures.
• Ensure daily training kit requirements are prepared on time.
• Assist with laundry and kit rotation processes.
• Assist with preparation and transportation of kit for travel.
• Assist Head of Kit to pack, check and deliver equipment per schedules.
• Assist with kit requirements for pre-season, training camps, tournaments and overseas tours.
• Support Head of Kit with stock checks and inventory management.
• Maintain records of kit issued to players and staff.
• Assist with seasonal kit changes and introduction of new ranges.
• Report operational, health & safety or equipment concerns to Head of Kit or manager.
• Maintain professional standards when representing the club.
• Undertake other duties relating to kit management and laundry services.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all elite players,
  promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries.
• Support with the day-to-day running of the football kit operation.
• Assist with preparing and distributing training and match kit for players and
  staff.
• Ensure all players and staff have the correct kit and equipment for training,
  matches, travel and other football activities.
• Ensure all football kits and clothing are washed, dried, folded and prepared for
  timely redistribution to players and coaching staff.
• Operate washing machines and tumble dryers safely and efficiently, selecting
  appropriate wash cycles, temperatures and detergents in accordance with
  garment care instructions.
• Inspect garments before and after washing to identify stains, damage, missing
  items or any clothing requiring additional treatment.
• Monitor laundry supplies, including detergents, fabric treatments and cleaning
  products, reporting low stock levels and replenishing supplies as required.
• Manage the collection and return of laundry in a timely manner to ensure
  players and staff have the required clothing available when needed.
• Carry out routine checks of laundry equipment, report faults promptly and
  follow relevant operating and maintenance procedures.
• Follow health and safety, manual handling, hygiene and chemical-handling
  procedures at all times, including the safe storage and use of laundry products.
• Assist with the organisation and storage of kit and equipment within the kit
  room and designated storage areas.
• Ensure kit is correctly labelled, organised and readily available.
• Report any damaged, missing or worn kit to the Head of Kit and arrange
  replacement where required.
• Ensure all kit and equipment is maintained to the required professional
  standard.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and organisation within the kit room
  and surrounding areas.
• Assist with the preparation of all First Team matchday kit and equipment
• Ensure used kit and equipment is collected, accounted for and returned
  following fixtures.
• Assist with the preparation and loading of kit and equipment for away fixtures.
• Ensure daily training kit requirements are prepared and available on time.
• Assist with laundry and kit rotation processes.
• Assist with the preparation and transportation of kit and equipment for
  domestic and international travel.
• Assist the Head of Kit that all equipment is packed, checked and delivered
  according to agreed schedules.
• Assist with the organisation of kit requirements for pre-season, training camps,
  tournaments and overseas tours.
• Support the Head of Kit with regular stock checks and inventory management.
• Support in maintaining accurate records of kit issued to players and staff.
• Assist with seasonal kit changes and the introduction of new playing and
  training ranges.
• Report any operational, health & safety or equipment concerns to the Head of
  Kit or relevant manager.
• Maintain professional standards at all times when representing the club.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties relating to kit management, laundry
  services and the wider support of the football department.
