Job summary

Tripod Partners seeks an experienced Fostering Social Worker to join Gloucestershire County Council’s Kinship Support Team. This temporary role focuses on supervising kinship foster carers and delivering safeguarding and care outcomes in partnership with the council.

Based in Gloucestershire with home working opportunities, you will work closely with Children’s Social Workers to safeguard children and support carers, providing stable, nurturing placements.

Qualifications

• Current Social Work England registration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support kinship foster carers.
• Provide advice, guidance and ongoing support to carers.
• Undertake regular visits and supervision.
• Work closely with Children's Social Workers and other professionals.
• Monitor the wellbeing and progress of children.
• Contribute to safeguarding and risk management.
• Support carers in meeting the needs of children in their care.
• Maintain accurate records and reports.
• Develop positive working relationships with carers, children and professionals.
