Job summary

Tripod Partners seeks an experienced Supervising Social Worker for Gloucestershire Kinship Support. The role focuses on supervising kinship foster carers and handling private fostering duties to safeguard children. You will work with children’s services and partners to ensure safe, stable homes and robust welfare planning.

The post offers hybrid/home working options with a day-rate of £35 and a temporary contract, contributing to a dynamic team across the county.

Qualifications

• This role requires a qualified social worker with experience in kinship care and safeguarding.
• Experience supporting kinship foster carers and private fostering is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication and case recording skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kinship foster carers with guidance and professional support.
• Maintain positive relationships with carers, children and families.
• Collaborate with children’s services and partner professionals.
• Visit foster placements and private fostering households regularly.
• Monitor care quality, safety and suitability and respond to safeguarding concerns.
• Support placement stability and welfare planning, with accurate records.
