Zusammenfassung

Kinship is seeking a compassionate Family Worker to support kinship carers across Surrey, delivering home, community and remote visits to build resilience and access vital services.

You will conduct needs assessments, provide emotional and practical guidance, and help carers navigate systems while safeguarding children and working with local partners. Join a proactive team delivering the Connected and Kinship Ready programmes to strengthen networks and secure positive outcomes for children.

Qualifikationen

• Experience of family work and undertaking needs assessments both in person and remotely.
• Experience setting up and facilitating support groups.
• Experience working with statutory, voluntary and community organisations.
• Experience safeguarding.
• Experience using CRM or case management systems.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
• Full, clean driving licence and the right to work in the UK.

Aufgaben

• Deliver one-to-one support to kinship carers in homes, communities and remotely.
• Undertake needs assessments and support carers to achieve agreed goals and outcomes.
• Provide emotional support, advocacy and practical guidance.
• Facilitate support groups and help carers build local support networks.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities, schools, community organisations and other professionals supporting families.
• Support the coordination and delivery of Kinship Ready workshops.
• Maintain accurate records, monitor outcomes and contribute to demonstrating the impact of our services.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and families in line with organisational policies and procedures.
