Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Kinship Care Team in Barnet. You will lead assessments, provide expert guidance, and work with social workers, families, and external agencies to promote stability and positive outcomes for children in kinship placements.

Qualifications

• CQSW/DipSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in child protection or family support services, with focus on kinship care.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making skills, able to assess complex situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling rapport with families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of kinship care arrangements and identify needs of children and families.
• Provide supervision and support to social workers in case management and ensure high standards of practice.
• Lead case reviews and contribute to multi‑agency meetings to develop integrated care solutions.
• Deliver training and guidance to staff on legislation, policies, and best practices related to kinship care.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organizational and statutory requirements.
