Job summary

The St Michael Steiner School in Greater London is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for a full-time position starting January 2027. The role involves educating and caring for young children with core hours 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., plus some evenings, weekends and holiday preparation.

A full Early Years qualification (or Steiner Waldorf Early Years) is essential, with some experience desirable. The appointment will be subject to a DBS check and a strong sense of teamwork is required.

Hours: 40 hours per week (core hours 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.) plus some evenings and weekends and holiday time preparation.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, energy, initiative, commitment and a strong sense of responsibility for the education and care of young children, who would enjoy working with us in the ongoing development of our curriculum and practices. Full and relevant qualification in Early Years and/or Steiner Waldorf Early Years qualification is essential, some previous experience is desirable. They will also be interested and find joy in working as part of a team.

The school is managed and led by a College of Teachers, so we are looking ideally for someone who, when ready, would be willing to share in the responsibility of contributing to the running the school. The appointment will be subject to a clear DBS check.
