Job summary

Maidstone Leisure Trust is seeking a Children’s Activities Assistant to help run engaging, safe activities for kids at our centre. You will deliver sports, arts and crafts, support soft play, and work with colleagues to provide a welcoming space for families.

The role emphasises safeguarding, accurate record-keeping, and a flexible, team‑oriented approach. If you are enthusiastic, patient, and enjoy creating fun, positive experiences for children, this is a great place to work.

What you'll do as a Children's Activities Assistant

• Deliver fun, safe, and engaging sports, arts, and craft activities in line with programme requirements.
• Support the day-to-day operation of soft play activities.
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain a high-quality service for children and families.
• Complete and maintain accurate records and documentation in line with site procedures.
• Follow safeguarding requirements, policies, and procedures at all times.

Understanding of holiday scheme provision and activity delivery.

• Strong communication and customer care skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a range of activities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible, adaptable, and enthusiastic about working with children.
