Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Year 1 Class Teacher for a KS1 class in the South Liverpool area. The role offers a daily rate of £140–£200, with a full-time temporary/Temp-to-Perm contract.

You will lead the class, plan engaging lessons, and contribute to a safe, high-standard learning environment during a crucial stage of children's development.

Qualifications

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Proven KS1 classroom experience with pupil progress tracking and assessment expectations.
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching and making a difference in the community.
  • Reliable, reflective practitioner who works well in a team.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service and eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum in core subjects (Reading, Writing, Maths).
  • Full class responsibility from planning to final assessment and reporting.
  • Implement inclusive teaching strategies to meet diverse learners.
  • Contribute to school assessment strategies and track pupil progress.
  • Collaborate within a supportive, collaborative school environment.

Year 1 Class Teacher

Location: South Liverpool

Salary: £140.00 - £200 per day (Experience Dependent)

Contract: Full-Time, Temporary / Temp-to-Perm

The Opportunity: Make an Impact in Key Stage 1

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic educator ready to inspire a Year 1 class? We are working closely with a vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in the South Liverpool area of Merseyside to appoint a dedicated KS1 Class Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, forward-thinking team during a crucial stage of children's development. You will take full responsibility for the class, fostering a safe and engaging environment where high standards of learning are met with creativity and support.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the classroom experience, ensuring every child transitions successfully into Key Stage 1:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, with a strong focus on core subjects including Reading, Writing, and Maths.
  • Full Class Responsibility: Manage all aspects of teaching, from initial lesson planning and delivery to final assessment and reporting.
  • Inclusion & Differentiation: Implement creative and inclusive teaching strategies that meet the unique needs of every learner in the classroom.
  • Assessment & Strategy: Contribute to the school's assessment and implementation strategies, tracking pupil progress to ensure high standards of achievement.
  • Collaborative Working: Work within a well-supported and collaborative setting, contributing positively to the wider school life and community ethos.
