Job summary

Teaching Tomorrow is seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher for 5–7-year-old pupils. You will plan, deliver and assess lessons within a supportive, inclusive school environment, promoting high standards and safeguarding at all times.

Ideal applicants will have QTS, KS1 or Early Years experience, strong classroom management and the ability to differentiate for diverse learners. Flexible supply work and long-term opportunities are available across Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.

About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher. The successful candidate will inspire and engage pupils aged 5-7, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports every child in achieving their full potential.This is an exciting opportunity for a committed professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a love of learning in young children.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and positive behaviour.Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to pupils and parents/carers.Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional educational needs.Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and external professionals.Support pupils' personal, social, emotional, and academic development.Participate in school events, staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school.Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child welfare at all times.RequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS).Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 or Early Years/Primary Education.Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.DesirableExperience supporting children with SEND.Knowledge of phonics programmes and early reading development.Experience using assessment data to improve pupil outcomes.Subject leadership experience (where applicable).Why join Teaching Tomorrow?Flexible supply work to build experience and confidenceOpportunities for long-term roles and potential permanent placementsExposure to a variety of school environments across BedfordshireOngoing support and guidance from a dedicated consultantTeaching Tomorrow is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
