Job summary

Supply Desk in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, is seeking a KS1 Primary Teacher for a full-time role on a temporary to permanent basis, starting September 2026.

The salary ranges from £29,344 to £44,919 per year, and you will deliver engaging KS1 lessons, track pupil progress, and work with colleagues to uphold high standards of teaching and safeguarding. QTS is essential and enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

  • QTS is essential.
  • KS1 experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, phonics frameworks and assessments.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment with strong behaviour management.
  • Enhanced DBS check and professional references required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality KS1 teaching, adapting to abilities and learning styles.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Foster independence, confidence and curiosity through interactive learning.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing classroom focusing on pupil wellbeing.
  • Promote health and wellbeing through activities for physical, emotional and social development.
  • Develop early literacy, phonics and numeracy with targeted support.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress to inform planning and interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching to KS1 pupils, adapting lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning styles.

Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, phonics frameworks, and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • Passionate about teaching and committed to ongoing professional development.
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive learning environment with strong behaviour management.
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.

We offer a £100 referral fee for successful referrals of friends or colleagues who complete 5 or more shifts.
