GSL Education is currently recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher for a long-term teaching position starting this September in a welcoming and well-resourced primary school located in Chelmsford.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about early education and is eager to contribute to a supportive school community. The successful candidate will be placed through GSL Education and receive continuous support throughout their assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum

Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records to inform teaching and support

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners

Collaborate with teaching assistants, staff, and leadership teams to deliver high-quality education

Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress

Participate in staff meetings, training, and school events where appropriate

Candidate Requirements:

UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Recent teaching experience within Key Stage 1

Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks

Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

A proactive, flexible, and committed approach to teaching

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
