Job summary

Our client is an independent prep school and nursery for children from three months to 11 years, located near Harrogate. They are seeking a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly team, supporting a room lead and building strong relationships with families.

The role offers a 40-hour week (part-time considered) with a competitive salary on the BGS scale, NEST pension, and generous annual leave including bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Calm and positive personality enthusiastic about working with young children.
• Able to work as part of a friendly team.
• Supports the room lead with daily tasks and uses their initiative where appropriate.
• Be a 'key person' to a small group of children, build positive relationships with their families.
• Nurtures and supports the health, well-being and education of young children.
• Monitors children’s progress to ensure development progresses.
• Creates engaging activities following children’s interests and promotes independence.
