Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Justice Social Worker to join the Camglen Locality Team for up to 12 months. The role focuses on assessments, intervention planning and collaboration with partner agencies to manage risk and support desistance from offending.

The post involves working with individuals subject to statutory justice orders, including domestic and sexual offences, and requires SSSC registration and robust report-writing experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Social Work and SSSC registration.
• Experience writing social work/justice reports.
• Knowledge of risk assessment and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive assessments of service users’ needs, strengths and risks.
• Manage a diverse caseload and coordinate interventions with partners.
• Prepare high-quality Justice Social Work reports for Courts and forums.
• Conduct risk assessments to inform risk management plans and decisions.
• Develop, implement and review case management plans to support rehabilitation.
