Job summary

West Lothian Council is seeking a Social Worker based in Strathbrock Partnership Centre to assess and support children and families experiencing wellbeing or child protection concerns. The role is 36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, and permanent.

You will join the Duty and Child Protection Team with induction, supervision, a controlled workload, and a professional development plan including varied training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in social work or equivalent is essential.
• Registration with the SSSC within six months of start date.
• PVG Scheme required before a formal offer of employment.
• This post is Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the PVG Act 2007.

Responsibilities

• Based in the Duty and Child Protection Team assessing and supporting children and families facing wellbeing or child protection concerns.
• Induction, planned supervision, a managed workload and a professional development plan with training opportunities.
