Job description

We’re looking for a Junior Website Content Editor to join our Digital team, based at our Support Centre in Speke, Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in content creation and digital retail.

Whether you're a recent school or college leaver with A-Levels, or simply passionate about online content and the retail industry, this could be the perfect first step in your career.

This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role.

Reporting to the Senior Content Editor, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining product content on our website, helping to showcase the incredible value and variety B&M offers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Work alongside the Senior Content Editor and wider content team to create engaging product listings across a wide range of categories.
2. Support the updating and maintenance of website content, including writing and proofreading SEO-friendly product descriptions.
3. Upload product information and images using our CMS, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
4. Liaise with internal teams, including Buying and Photography, to gather product knowledge and ensure image requests are fulfilled.
5. Write news-style content for new store openings to support wider marketing activity.
6. Contribute to blog content — from generating ideas and writing copy to sourcing imagery.

What We're Looking For

1. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) is desirable, but not essential.
2. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
3. Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
4. Creativity and a passion for the retail sector.
5. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
6. Enthusiasm for creating engaging, on-brand content.
