Heckfield Place is seeking friendly, energetic staff to join our restaurant team. You will work as part of a passionate crew in a beautifully restored hotel, assisting in morning, evening and weekend shifts and driving to the venue is required due to location.

Basic salary is £26,500 per year with a range of benefits and opportunities for progression as part of our training and career path at Heckfield Place.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
• Must be flexible to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Willing to learn and progress within the company.

Responsibilities

• Be positive and professional with guests and visitors.
• Support senior team members and kitchen to deliver high service levels.
• Provide excellent service and maintain cleanliness in The Restaurant.
• Show an interest in sustainable food and seasonal produce.
• Keep an open schedule for evenings and weekends.
• Ensure all restaurant areas meet high standards of tidiness.

Job description

This is a full time (40 hours/week) permanent role that requires you to be flexible, and work morning, evenings and weekends. Due to the location of the hotel you must drive.

Heckfield Place is a beautifully restored hotel on a 400-acre farm in the county of Hampshire, just outside of London. In Marle and Hearth restaurants, we create food - often freshly picked from our own Home Farm a short distance away - and drink that celebrates simplicity, the seasons, and a sense of place.

Position responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

• Be positive and professional with all guests and visitors
• Have a great customer service attitude and work closely with the senior members of the team as well as the kitchen
• Enjoy offering a great level of service to our guests
• Have an interest in sustainable food
• Have an open schedule that allows you to work evenings and weekends
• Ensure all areas of The Restaurant are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
• Some previous experience in a similar role is desirable. But training will be provided for those open to learn and we encourage progression internally.

Basic salary of £26,500PA
