Job summary

Fintelligent Search Ltd. in Coatbridge are hiring a Junior Underwriter to develop credit assessment skills within a growing specialist property lender. Salary £30,000 - £35,000 with opportunities to progress and an annual bonus.

You will work with experienced underwriters on residential, commercial and bridging finance, moving beyond administration to independently underwriting lending applications and learning the full loan lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or loan processing is preferred.
• Familiarity with bridging finance or property-backed lending is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn and develop underwriting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment of bridging finance applications and verify borrower information.
• Review valuations and credit searches to identify lending risks.
• Manage cases from initial assessment to completion with brokers and solicitors.
• Develop underwriting knowledge across first and second charge lending.
