Job summary

Seven Logistics in Felixstowe is seeking a Junior Traffic Planner to coordinate traffic across Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton, ensuring trucks are allocated and service levels met.

You will manage drivers, handle day-to-day issues, and maintain strong communication with clients and suppliers in a busy port environment. This full-time role offers a competitive package and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Traffic Office and knowledge of TOPS preferred.
• Knowledge of port and VBS systems desired.
• Good understanding of haulage and container industry.

Responsibilities

• Plan work from Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton on allocated traffic sheet.
• Manage allocated trucks and ensure revenues and service levels are met.
• Oversee drivers and maintain communication and relationships at high levels.
• Resolve current day issues efficiently and promptly.
• Ensure VBS bookings are completed correctly.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Planning work from Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southhampton on allocated traffic sheet
• Managing allocated trucks and ensuring revenues and service levels are met
• Managing drivers and ensuring communication and relationships are kept up to high levels
• Ensure all current day issues are managed and resolved efficiently
• Booking and ensuring VBS are booked correctly

Skills and Attributes Required:

• Previous experience in a Traffic Office
• Knowledge of TOPS preferred
• Understanding of port and VBS systems
• Knowledge of haulage and container industry
• Attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Good people and team building skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Good Team player
• A driven, confident and motivated individual aspiring to further their care
