Job summary

Seven Logistics in Felixstowe is seeking a Junior Traffic Planner to join our busy team. The role involves planning work from Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton on the traffic sheet and managing trucks to meet revenue and service targets.

You will also supervise drivers and ensure clear communication with stakeholders. Successful candidates will have experience in a traffic office, knowledge of TOPS, and an understanding of port and VBS systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Traffic Office is preferred.
• Knowledge of TOPS is advantageous.
• Understanding of port and VBS systems is desirable.
• Knowledge of haulage and container industry.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Good people and team-building skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrable IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan work from Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southampton on the allocated traffic sheet.
• Manage allocated trucks to meet revenue and service targets.
• Oversee drivers and maintain effective communication and relationships.
• Resolve current day issues efficiently.
• Book and ensure VBS bookings are correct.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Planning work from Felixstowe, London Gateway and Southhampton on allocated traffic sheet
• Managing allocated trucks and ensuring revenues and service levels are met
• Managing drivers and ensuring communication and relationships are kept up to high levels
• Ensure all current day issues are managed and resolved efficiently
• Booking and ensuring VBS are booked correctly

• Previous experience in a Traffic Office
• Knowledge of TOPS preferred
