Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is seeking an early-career Town Planner to join a growing planning consultancy focused on Reserved Matters and residential development. The role provides hands-on project experience and a clear pathway to MRTPI while supporting applications and liaising with clients and authorities.

You will have 12–18 months' planning experience, a relevant planning qualification, and a strong desire to develop.

Qualifications

• 12–18 months of Town Planning experience.
• Relevant planning qualification.
• Some Reserved Matters exposure and good understanding of the process.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Keen to develop your career and work towards MRTPI.

Responsibilities

• Supporting Reserved Matters applications.
• Reviewing outline permissions, conditions and planning requirements.
• Coordinating with clients, architects and technical consultants.
• Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Liaising with local authorities and project teams.
• Supporting applications through to determination.
