Cobalt Recruitment is seeking an early-career Town Planner to join a growing planning consultancy in Reading. The role focuses on Reserved Matters and residential development, with around 12–18 months’ planning experience and a drive to develop expertise.

Key duties include preparing Reserved Matters applications, coordinating with clients and consultants, and supporting planning submissions through determination.

Qualifications

• 12–18 months of Town Planning experience.
• Some exposure to Reserved Matters and a good understanding of the process.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Keen to develop your career and progress toward MRTPI.

Responsibilities

• Support and prepare Reserved Matters applications.
• Review outline permissions, conditions and planning requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, architects and technical consultants.
• Prepare planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with local authorities and project teams.
• Support applications through to determination.
