Job summary

Cobalt Recruitment is seeking an early-career Town Planner to join a growing planning consultancy with a focus on Reserved Matters and residential development. This role targets candidates with around 12–18 months of planning experience and a good understanding of the Reserved Matters process.

You will support applications, coordinate with clients and technical teams, and work toward MRTPI while building hands-on project experience in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 12–18 months Town Planning experience.
• Relevant planning qualification.
• Some Reserved Matters exposure and understanding of the process.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Keen to develop career and MRTPI path.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and preparing Reserved Matters applications.
• Reviewing outline permissions, conditions and planning requirements.
• Coordinating with clients, architects and technical consultants.
• Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation.
• Liaising with local authorities and project teams.
• Supporting applications through to determination.
