Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Junior Town Planner to join the planning team in Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a major residential development business, gaining exposure to a wide range of planning projects and working with experienced planners across the region.

You will assist with planning applications, support project progression, conduct site assessments, and monitor local policies, collaborating with authorities, consultants and internal teams

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related subject.
• Demonstrates organised, proactive and commercially aware approach.
• Confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.
• Keen to develop career within the housebuilding and development sector.
• Able to work effectively as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
• Support the planning team in progressing residential development projects.
• Undertake planning research and site assessments.
• Monitor local planning policies and emerging development plans.
• Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Assist with the management of planning conditions and obligations.
• Provide planning support throughout the development process.
• Work closely with land, technical and development teams.
