Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group has partnered with a well-established engineering business in Milton Keynes to recruit a Trainee Internal Sales Engineer. This role blends technical engineering with B2B sales, ideal for someone at the start of their career who wants to build knowledge of products, applications and customer solutions.

You’ll train with the technical and sales teams and support customers from enquiry to order, handling quotations, orders and inquiries, and identifying new sales

Qualifications

• Holds an engineering qualification.
• Strong mathematics or physics background.
• Interest in developing a career in technical sales.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willing to learn about technical products and applications.
• Attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries and provide technical support.
• Prepare technical quotations and proposals.
• Understand customer requirements and identify suitable solutions.
• Calculate costs and apply appropriate margins.
• Process customer orders and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding product availability and orders.
• Work with warehouse and internal teams to ensure orders are delivered correctly.
• Maintain sales and enquiry records.
• Keep customers updated on products and developments.
• Identify new sales opportunities and support marketing activity.
