Tailored resume and cover letter, ready to send.
Netcalibre Ltd in London is seeking a junior IT support enthusiast who loves technology and learning. You’ll start on first-line support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and you’ll document learnings to help others.
You’ll shadow senior engineers and progress to handling site visits to customer offices and data centres around London, with a plan to design solutions and contribute to our quality processes.
We run our own network and our own private cloud. We’re vendor-agnostic on customer kit, so we use the right hardware for the job, not whatever a sales rep is pushing this quarter.
You’ll work across a broad stack:
We also run our own lab for testing and building networks across different vendors. If you like breaking things on purpose to learn how they work, you’ll fit in here.
A geek.
Someone who took a router apart at 14, runs a home lab for fun, has strong opinions about their Linux distro, or built a Discord bot just to see if they could.
You don’t need professional experience or certifications. You need genuine curiosity about how technology works and the patience to figure things out.
If you’ve been learning this stuff as a hobby and want to turn it into a career, we’d like to hear from you.
You’ll start on first-line support. First-line is where customers form their impression of us, so it’s the most important seat in the business. You’ll troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, take ownership of cases from first call to resolution, and write up what you learn so the next person benefits.
Our last junior went from desk-based support to running field visits within six months.
You’ll follow a similar path. Shadow senior engineers, then handle your own site visits to customer offices and data centres across London.
Over time you’ll move into designing solutions, writing procedures, and helping us build out a quality control process.
