About The Job You’re Considering

Are you a forward-thinking, innovative, and inquisitive graduate ready to tackle some of the UK's most exciting engineering challenges? We're looking for talented individuals to join our Systems Engineering and Product Design Team, where engineering excellence is paramount.

As a Graduate Systems Engineer, You'll

  • Utilise advanced tools and techniques, including mathematical simulation, digital visualisation, and our proprietary REVEAL Requirements Engineering Framework
  • Contribute to enhancing our clients' digital landscape through Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering solutions

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)

Your role

You'll be part of a diverse, experienced team committed to meeting our customer’s high expectations. Our project portfolio ranges from small-scale consultancy roles to large-scale, multi-million-pound high-integrity software systems development.

We offer a comprehensive development path tailored to your background, including:

  • Hands-on experience across the systems V-cycle through multiple project rotations
  • Training in requirements engineering, systems design, MBSE, safety and assurance, and verification and validation
  • A dedicated people manager/coach to guide your personal development
  • Workshops led by resident experts
  • Access to a wide range of external training courses
  • Regular global forums for knowledge sharing and idea exchange

Potential Opportunities

  • MBSE model development for diverse systems, from power plant infrastructure to aerospace industrial manufacturing
  • High-integrity software systems projects for national infrastructure
  • Safety and assurance across critical projects
  • Consulting on organisational transformation initiatives
  • Research into emerging tools and techniques

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

  • System design processes (system and sub-system specification)
  • Product validation and verification

Key Skills And Attributes

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Adaptability to work in teams of varying sizes and compositions
  • Collaborative mindset, thriving in multi-disciplinary environments

  • Experience in using Model Based Design tools such as Matlab and Simulink.
  • Knowledge of Hazard identification, assessment and management techniques e.g. HAZOP, FMEA, FTA, Event Tree Analysis, Hazard Logs
