Job summary

The Commercial Hotel in Glasgow is seeking a motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You will work with the Head Chef, kitchen and Front of House teams to deliver high-quality dishes across all food outlets and events.

You will lead from the front, mentor your team, design daily specials with the Head & Sous Chefs, and ensure clean, safe, and efficient kitchen operations while managing costs and waste.

Qualifications

• Level 2 in food hygiene is required.
• Experience leading kitchen teams in hospitality settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef and run the kitchen in their absence.
• Control stock levels and daily food costs to meet budgets.
• Lead, develop and mentor the kitchen team to maintain high standards.
• Ensure hygiene, health and safety and HACCP/COSHH compliance.
