Job summary

Eastlands Venue Services Limited is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support high-volume event environments at Co-op Live. You will assist the Sous Chef, lead prep and service, and help maintain food safety standards.

You will drive quality, pace and team development, ensuring consistent portions, presentation and guest experience across all service periods, including matchdays and large events.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume or event-led environments is essential.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards is required.
• NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent culinary qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day kitchen operations across outlets.
• Deliver high-quality, consistent food in line with standards.
• Supervise and support kitchen teams during prep and service.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and allergen compliance.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and waste management.
• Conduct quality checks on presentation, portions and taste.
• Support matchday and event catering, including high-volume service.
• Act as kitchen lead in Sous Chef's absence.
