The Hare and Hounds in Speen part of the Linwood Collection is seeking a passionate Junior Sous Chef to help lead sections, work with seasonal ingredients, and support the brigade alongside the Head and Sous Chefs.

Qualifications

• Experience as a strong CDP or existing Junior Sous Chef.
• Passion for seasonal cooking and quality ingredients.
• Confidence running a section during busy services.
• Leadership skills and ability to support junior chefs.
• Strong organisation and efficiency in prep and service.
• A collaborative, positive approach to teamwork.
• Commitment to consistency in taste, presentation and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Run sections confidently, leading prep and service with precision.
• Support senior chefs and help oversee the brigade during busy services.
• Maintain high prep standards and ensure your section is service-ready.
• Assist with stock management, ordering, rotation, and waste reduction.
• Uphold excellent hygiene and safety standards.
• Train and support junior team members, helping them grow in confidence and skill.
• Contribute ideas for specials and menu development.
