Job summary

The Ivy Asia, Brighton, is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join our vibrant kitchen team. This hands-on role works with line chefs to uphold our high standards and lead by example, creating memorable dishes for guests.

You will progress with the Head Chef and Sous team, handling prep levels, stock control, and safety compliance while developing your culinary career in a luxury dining setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as Senior Chef de Partie or similar in a professional kitchen.
• Strong culinary skills with a passion for learning and growth.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety and basic culinary techniques.

Responsibilities

• Ensure prep levels by the prep team.
• Process deliveries and stock put away by Goods Receiver.
• Maintain temperature records.
• Oversee junior staff wellbeing.
• Monitor cleaning rotas and ensure completion.
• Train staff and monitor performance.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.
