Cambscuisine in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated Junior Sous Chef to work closely with the Head Chef to build a reputation for outstanding food and strong team development.

You will be involved with food ordering, preparation, service delivery, stock control, and ensuring health and hygiene regulations are adhered to. The role includes supervising BOH in the Head Chef’s absence and contributing to a positive kitchen culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to manage stock, orders and cost controls.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Support daily kitchen operations and service.
• Maintain food quality and safety standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff during shifts.
• Assist with stock control and ordering.
• Report issues to senior chefs.
